PowerSync Licensing & Terms Overview

‍Different licenses and terms apply depending on the edition of PowerSync used. The following table provides a summary of the different editions and their associated licenses and terms:

PowerSync Cloud & PowerSync Enterprise Self-Hosted Edition

PowerSync Cloud and the PowerSync Enterprise Self-Hosted Edition are paid services provided (and their premium features licensed) under our Commercial License & Services Agreement. Our Acceptable Use Policy also applies to these editions.

Appendix A applies to PowerSync Enterprise Self-Hosted Edition.
Appendix B applies to PowerSync Cloud.

PowerSync Cloud only: If you are required to comply with the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR), we provide a Data Processing Addendum (DPA) for this purpose:

PowerSync Open Edition

The PowerSync Open Edition is a free source-available version of PowerSync which includes all core features. It is licensed and provided under the Functional Source License, a source-available license:

Contributions to the PowerSync Open Edition codebase require agreeing to our CLA:

PowerSync Client SDKs

PowerSync Client SDKs, which are used with both the commercial editions (PowerSync Cloud & PowerSync Enterprise Self-Hosted Edition) as well as the PowerSync Open Edition, are open-source and licensed under the Apache-2.0 license.
